Rio Rancho Public Schools will be hosting two Parent U sessions, back-to-back, on August 22 and August 23, 2023:
BOND ELECTION
This RRPS Parent U session is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, August 22, from 12:00PM to 1:00PM and will be all about the upcoming bond election. With a proposed bond measure of $80 million over the next four years, the district is set to meet crucial needs aimed at enhancing safety, infrastructure, accessibility, and learning environments. Passage of the bond will not increase the current tax rate.
During this session, district officials will go over exactly what the bond entails and how its passage will benefit Rio Rancho Public Schools for years to come.

2023-24 RRPS BEHAVIOR PLAN
This Parent U session will take place on Wednesday, August 23 from 12:00PM to 1:00PM, and will cover the 2023-24 RRPS Behavior Plan. Rio Rancho Public Schools has set a goal to reduce the number of discipline referrals for chronic disruption, bullying, disrespect, insubordination, violence and student aggression by 20% this year, decrease the number of hearings for long term suspensions and expulsions by 20% and increase student self regulation. This plan is meant to help accomplish that goal.
During this session, district officials will review the plan and discuss how it will help improve behavior across the district.
