We are responsible for new construction, renovations, maintenance, grounds and custodial services at all District facilities.  The Department is also responsible for long-range Facilities Master Planning and capital improvement projects.

Facilities News!

Green ribbon logoGreen Ribbon School!
We are proud to announce Sandia Vista Elementary as a National Department of Education Green Ribbon School.  Sandia Vista is the only Green Ribbon School recipient in the state this year.  The award will be presented on July 19, 2017 in Washington D.C.  Read more about the awards ceremony here.

Facilities Master Plan
The District's long-range Facilities Master Plan (FMP) was completed in December 2016. The intent of the plan is to guide Capital Planning decisions to the support the District's educational mission and meet state adequacy standards.  To see a copy of Volume 1 of the document click here.  Volume 1 includes the FMP Goals and Process, existing and projected conditions, and capital improvement plan.

Maintenance Plan
The RRPS School Board has approved the 2014/2015 Maintenance Plan.  To see a copy of the plan click on this link .

Sustainability Plan
Rio Rancho Public Schools has been approved to develop a Sustainability Plan via a Memorandum of Understanding with the of New Mexico Environmental Department. This plan will further the district's efforts to be an economic and environmental steward of our resources.  Look for the final plan coming soon.


 

Community Facility Use & Rental
To the extent possible, Rio Rancho Public Schools makes its facilities available for use by the community and may only be rented when they are not in use for our students.  Facilities use rentals are coordinated through the Information Services Dept.
