Get Ready to Read Like a Lobo!

Students will have a chance to win a tour of the Lobo Stadium, participate in the pre-game coin toss, or go out on the field during half-time.  Help your school win $1,00, $1,500, $2,000 for books. The school with the top number of minutes read will win the grand prize! Ten students from every school will win a ticket to the Nov. 7th Lobo game and a chance to be involved one of the extra special Lobo activities.

How to Participate:
  • Keep a log of your reading outside of school for 3 weeks.
  • Turn the log in weekly for your teacher to sign.
  • Completed logs are due Oct. 23rd.
Tickets for the November 7th Lobo game against Utah State will also be sold at school for a special price of only $13.  CLICK HERE for a ticket order form.
Roadrunner Rally

Come One, Come All to Rio Rancho Elementary's 7th Annual Roadrunner Rally Walk-A-Thon!

Parents, Students, Staff, Friends, and Family: This will be a fun activity for the whole family. Students, teachers, and guests will pledge to walk or jog for 30 minutes on Tuesday, October 13th.  Our goal will be to raise enough money to meet the needs of our students and for the Physical Education Department

Walk-A-Thon Schedule for Tuesday, October 6th

  • 5th grade:  10:00-10:30
  • 3rd grade:  11:00-11:30
  • 4th grade   12:00-12:30
  • 1st grade:    1:15-1:45
  • Kinder:        2:15-2:45
  • 2nd grade:   3:00-3:30
We also need approved volunteers to help tally laps.  we want you to participate with your student in the Walk-A-Thon and would like you to sign up for a time that will not conflict.  Please contact Mrs. Dencklau to sign up to volunteer.  (505-892-0220 x220 or

Instructional Materials Review

RRPS Seeks Parents and Community Members to Review Instructional Materials

Every six years, the state of New Mexico and local school district review instructional materials in order to adopt updated materials for use in classrooms.  This year we will be adopting instructional materials for grades K-8 English Language Arts, World Languages, and Reading Intervention to support our implementation of the Common Core State Standards.  Click here for more information.
Student Arrival Time

Student arrival time on campus is 8:45. 

Supervision of students begins at that time. Please don’t drop your children off before 8:45 unless they are enrolled in the SAFE  program.
